Mastery of content is essential for student academic growth and development. Working with standards provides a foundational support to ensure quality curriculum and excellence on state assessments and prepare them to compete in a global world. 

Project/Problem-Based learning provides a structure for students to explore relevant real-world concepts. PBL supports the development of 21st-Century skills, student agency, and work force skills.  

Provide real world connections and applications of content standards. Expert voice, experiences, and sustained partnership throughout learning has the power to hook students on learning. 

Utilizing community leaders to provide students with learning necessary to solve real world problems enriches learning for students. 

When students learn with and through their community they are being exposed to career options as well as being connected to future employers. This helps to keep talent local and build a stronger community.
